As Domingo M. Guevara embodied the "Filipino Vision" of the man, likewise, he revelled in it. A testament to his social conscience.

Thus, he organized the D. M. Guevara Foundation, Inc., a non-profit organization, in 1972. It started with an educational project by funding a professional chair at Ateneo de Manila University.

The foundation started the Museo ng Buhay Pilipino or the Museum of Philippine Life. The museo focuses on the traditional heritage of Christian Filipino, dramatized through artifacts simulating a vintage setting of turn-of -the-century "Ilustrado" living in the lowlands. The Filipino, as showcased in authentic Philippine artifacts and materials.

Currently, the "Bahay Tisa" of the Nayong Pilipino is the depository of the artifacts collection of the "Museo ng Buhay Pilipino." Here may be found some of the finest creations by Filipino craftsmen, among which are: interior furniture, furniture tools and implements, cane-woven furnitures, towering wooden cabinets, pillow racks and four-poster beds. The collection is open to the public for viewing.

Domingo M. Guevara, through his foundation, clearly professes his being a patriot, nationalist and advocate of anything Filipino, including indigenous art.
